Troop 275
To all scouts and leaders please come to Jack Boggs Eagle Ceremony on Saturday, January 7, 2017. The Ceremony will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church on highway 160 across from Lowes. For the Reception Following the Ceremony please RSVP to [email protected] or call 803-493-2970 by December 30, 2016. All scouts and leaders need to be in full uniform with merit badge sash.
The annual York District Awards dinner is January 12th, starting at 7 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. The cost is $18 per person and there is a signup link on the Council webpage, if you plan to attend please register and pay online.

No Monday troop meetings on December 26th and January 2nd.
Please remember our troop Christmas party is December 19th. Please bring a $15-$20 gift and a finger food to share. Drinks will be provided by the leaders.
The $50 Annual Troop dues need to be paid no later than Monday, November 21st.
The final day to turn in Popcorn fundraiser money is also Monday, November 21st.

This is a lengthy e-mail that includes the following:
7 boys of Troop 275 attended a merit badge college at Winthrop University over April 1-3. Each boy earned two merit badges over this weekend, amounting to 14 total merit badges. In addition to this, the entire troop participated in the Ultimate Frisbee competition, and while we didn’t win, we still had fun and developed some calf muscles at the same time.
There was also a college baseball stadium not far away, and several boys were treated to a free baseball game between the Winthrop Eagles and the Liberty Flames. (Winthrop won!)

Here is a copy of the leaders guide for Camp Raven Knob. We will be attending July 10 – 16. Please review the merit badge prerequisites. All new scouts are encouraged to take the Raven Scout program.

2016 Spring Camporee & Merit Badge College will be held April 1st – 3rd 2016 at Winthrop University.
Check out the flyer to see all of the merit badges offered! There will be opportunity to take 2 merit badges in the morning and the competitions will begin after lunch.
We will be making a list of those interested and their merit badge selections on March 7th.
